We are a family-owned and operated company based out of Newburyport, MA. We treat every customer like they were a part of our family. Other companies may offer similar services, but our services come with a personal touch.

I have been a part-time taxidermist for over 30 years. I started while in college studying wildlife conservation. One of my professors took notice of my taxidermy ability with birds and suggested I mount birds for the University museum for credit. I’ve had the opportunity to mount birds from the size of a hummingbird to a trumpeter swan. I’ve been mounting birds via word of mouth all these years. Now that I have retired from my “day job” as a biologist in Washington, DC, we have moved back to Massachusetts, built our retirement home, and opened Joppa Flats Waterfowl Taxidermy studio.
